VT310 is a GPS/GPRS based tracking device specially developed and designed for vehicle real-time tracking and security. Please read the following description to know more about it.

 

Product Description

 

VT310 has inbuilt GPS module to obtain accurate position data and utilizes its GSM capability to send the position data to a specified mobile phone or server base for tracking and fleet management.

With internal memory, VT310 can store GPS coordinates when there is no GPRS connection or at a specified interval requested by the user.

One optional feature of VT310 is that a microphone can be linked out to be hidden somewhere inside the vehicle for listening to the cabin.

    So it need not to work with sim card
    PC or laptop can get the tracking information from the divice

    Yes, there isn't any additional costs, you need insert a sim card in this item. when you want to know its location you can call this sim card number, then you can get a sms about it. It is free.

    I run adventure cycling tours in Peru into the wilds, mountains and deserts and want to improve safety. Please provide me information in full about the device. Reply either here or to my e-mail anibal@perucycling.com.
    Some things I would like to know are:
    1. How do this work?
    2. Does it work anywhere on earth? including in the wilds, mountains and deserts?
    3. How someone at the office can track the position of the device?
    4. What is necessary for the tracking?
    5. Considering the adventure bike tours I do. Do you think this is the most appropiate device I need?

    I got it within green box, all works fine , except saving coordinates in the internal memory ( I was unable test this feature - when I switch on the vt310* sends that last coordinates is undetermined . The program on CD disk - is not able to read log data - always says - "Error....".
    The circuit assembly - is terrible! Looks like it was assembled during earthquake...

    Suggestions:
    1) charge internal battery before configuring via USB-2-COM.
    2) do not plug external 12v when you try configure it via PC, do not install drivers from original manufacturer ( will got Error 10). Use drivers from source-forge.

    the movement sensor - is very good option, which allow you save GPRS\SMS traffic when device is not moved (no shake - no redundant info on server). I test this option and I like it, what is interesting - when I shake device it is starts send coordinate after establishing connection with GSM network, even if GPS is not yet obtained, so seems that flash memory works somehow. Also power can be saved if you put device in special sleep mode and swith off leds.
