BMW GT1 is provided to the aftermarket in the same specification that is currently offered to BMW Authorized dealer. It is special-purpose tool of BMW Series.

Gt1 is equipped with a Pentium based laptop PC on a Windows platform connected to a high specification communications and measurement interface.

GT1, short for Group test one, can completely cover all of BMW systems, one of its function is called Electronic Control Unit (ECU) programming and configuration. The BMW GT1 system allows you reprogram ECUs of all BMW cars to fix software or install a blank ECU to a repaired vehicle. GT1 is the unique system that allows you to do this and is absolutely essential if working on Freelancer, the GT1 is also the only system that offers all diagnostics and programming for the very latest BMW launched this year.

BMW GT1 software kit comprises of five system, TIS system, DIS data system, diagnosis system, measuring system and management system. You can test and check data information at the same time in GT1.

It can read wrong code, correct faulty code and data stream, activate state programming and component test, maintenance data information and components location, wiring diagram etc..., TIS AND DIS are supply system diagram of all of BMW car.

Q: Can GT1 do coding and programming?

A: No.GT1 can not do coding and programming. It is good for diagnose cars, which is before 2005.

Q: What is the difference between GT1 and OPS?

A: They share one same function is diagnose.GT1 is good for cars before 2005 while OPS is good for cars after 2005, and OPS can do 2009 year models. Furthermore, OPS can do coding and programming for cars having fiber.
