Notice to ChinaBuye Review by Aiden
Value Quality Price I just posted a review on this adapter, promoting it for use with EU and USA plugs (on dual 120v/240v equipment).
However, your main photo / image of the adapter (above) is NOT the best picture to show this product. The picture should show this adapter at a front-on angle image showing the two socket-holes. This image will help viewers see that the adapter can accommodate EU (2 round prong) plugs and USA (2 flat prong) plugs. I promise this will help you sell many more units - especially to an AU distributor. (Posted on 2/2/11) -
This AU Adaptor works perfectly for USA and European plugs Review by Aiden
Value Quality Price I was prompted to search for this kind of adapter when I wanted to connect up my 4-component Marantz HiFi system. With 2-prong EU plugs on each 120v/2400v component, I was loath to cut off these plugs to attach 4 AU clunky-bulky plugs at $4.00 each.
When I found the adapters at ChinaBuye, I immediately ordered 10 of them, especially at their really reasonable price and shipping. This vendor shipped very promptly and with lots of email follow-up giving contact details and tracking info. The 10 adapters arrived in bubble packaging - to Brisbane - within a week of ordering.
Upon arrival I tested the adapter on US plugs on my 120v/240v computer, printer, scanner, extrn HHD, camera battery charger, etc equipment. The fit was perfect and I'm able to readily plug all my USA dual voltage products directly into AU plug strips and wall sockets (receptacles).
I'm pretty disappointed with AU stores like JayCars, Tandy, Dick White, JB Electronics which did not stock anything better than chunky "travel" adapters costing $12 - $18 each.
For now, unless ChinaBuye finds an AU distributor, their website is the only place I'd recommend buying. There are 1 or 2 other sites offering the same adapters, but you'll find they offer rediculously high prices. (Posted on 2/2/11)
